Badefols d'Ans

A charming village in the Dordogne

Badefols d'Ans

Badefols d'Ans lies in a farming area, known for its walnut orchards and the breeding of ‘limousin’ cattle. This peaceful village has preserved its heritage - the pretty houses with Périgord style roofs, a XIVth century castle. The roman church of St Vincent, built in the XIIth century, indicates the age of the village.

Badefols d'Ans has two restaurants, a post office and a grocery store. From the ‘table d'orientation’ (observatory) of Rafaillac, one of the highest points in the department, you can admire the beauty of the surroundings.

Badefols d'Ans is close to exceptional sites like Sarlat, Montignac (Lascaux caves), Les Eyzies, Hautefort, etc. For those who like sports: the village has its own tennis court and is the point of departure for many hiking tracks. Nearby there are many activities such as canoeing, golf. You can rent a quad or a mountain bike.
